“So you are a weapons smith? I actually just recently joined the armorsmith guild so I can practice with weapons and armor. I don’t know what kind of stuff you might need but I could show you some time if you would like.”

Hutch turns to Zuigrii.

" Yes, they wanted us all to study the blade...and I went for the art of it rather than the swing of it. Took years to hone in how to make them well and to last. I can patch up a suit of armor too, but that is not my area of expertise or heavy focus."

Gestures to the kitchen " I don't know if you saw the cleaver I came in with, but that beauty was made of discarded and rusty horseshoes down at the stables at their shoe making forge."

“I did see it and it looked very fine but what makes a blade beautiful in my eyes is whether it can perform it’s intended purpose well. If it can’t then it’s nothing more than decoration. Is it fair to assume your blades are able to perform whatever tasks you design them for?”

"I have yet to hear a complaint from that kitchen. And they didn't assign me Quartermaster for bad quality."

“Then if I ever need a blade that is out of my ability to produce, I might have to come find you.”

Jade watches the two chat and begins to take mental inventory of the newcomer.
